Elements of 4D_ Movement Zaya Duncan

Movement in art is a shift or variation in the location, light, or sound of an object. There are however different types of movements. For instance, successional movement is movement that leads the eye in one direction. Oppositional movement is a clash of forces that takes away focus from something else.

In my opinion, movement isn't necessary in art but could be very beneficial. Art that doesn't show movement tends to be boring and there's usually not much to look at, but with movement or inferred movement it leaves the mind free to wonder. I like this piece because you can't tell where it starts nor begins.
