 Time

Time is the progression of events and existence from the past, through the present, and into the future. It could also be referred to change There are several different categories of the element time. The first one is measured time.  Measured time refers to the actual time. Time is measured in actual real life time such as our clocks, seasons, years, etc. The next on is experienced time. Experienced time refers to how long it feels to the person watching. Depending on many different factors such as enjoinment, an hour could feel like 10 min or it could feel like 2 hours. The next is running time. Running time refers to how long the video or life piece actually is. For example this video is 2 minutes long, or this film is an hour and 30 minutes long. The next is biological time witch refers to the measure of time relating to bodily functions such as when someone is tired, or hungry. Finally there is digital time which is measured in milliseconds and is often associated with technology.

I really like this piece because it's so trippy looking and hypnotizing. I can't stop looking at it. This element works because of how hypnotizing it is. It just makes you want to look at it, and never stop. I could probably watch this for hours. I learned that even the most simplest pf things can catch your eye, and makes you constantly want to stare at it.

Sound

Sound is a vibration that can be heard and perceived through the ear. Sound is everywhere in our daily lives. The opposite of sound is silence which is the perceived absence of sound. There are different categories of sound. Synchronous Sounds are timed to their source either on screen or within a designated performance space. Nonsynchronous Sounds will play on screen or withing the performance space but the source is not currently visible, but either has or will be visible. Asynchronous Sounds are sounds that we hear but do not match with the source or with what is visible.  Diegetic sounds are "actual" sounds that are created by the environment of the work such as people talking or ambient sounds. Non-Diegetic sounds are "commentary" sounds such as narration, or unrealistic sounds such as cartoon sounds.

I love the pop art style. Yellow and Blue are my two favorite colors. I like how bold it is, and the different textures. I think this works as an example of the element of sound these words are onomatopoeias. These sounds would be mostly Non-Diegetic sounds typically found in cartoons. I learned that sound can also be in a written form such as this piece.

Movement
Movement is the shift/ variation in the location of the object. Movement can direct the focus on the composition. There are many ways to depict movement some of them are Shape, space, the levels of space, balance, energy dynamics, weight, and gestures. Utilizing movement in different ways can achieve different effects such as descriptive/ expressive intentions which can evoke many different emotions from the viewer. Movement can either just be viewed or it can be participatory which can affect emotions in different ways. The absence of movement could also have different effects. There are successional movements that lead the viewer's eye, and then there are oppositional movements which is a movement that clashes and leads the eye in different directions. There are gestures that are known as isolations which the eye is immediately attracted to. Isolations can be everyday movements or behavioral movements which are easy to recognize. The movement has a pretty interesting role when it comes to films. It can involve just the subject moving, but it can also include camera movement. There are many different camera movements that each achieves in invoking a certain emotion.

I really enjoy this piece because you can feel the emotion in it. It feels like frustration or just this overwhelming nature, and I think this piece portrays that really well. I also love the movement. Your eye follows these messy scribbles all the way to the center where you see the girl. It helps make the focal point on her and not anything else. Something that I've learned it that it doesn't physically move for there to be movement. Something can be static, but can still lead your eye across the page.
