Week 2: Storyboarding

A little colorful monkey plush sits in a tree, watched by Person A from below. Person B walks up and asks Person A if they know who the monkey is. Person A says no, so Person B asks the monkey directly. The monkey answers in a creepy, omnipresent whisper, "I am Youthful MunMun." The two people below stare at the monkey. The monkey sticks his little tongue out, prompting Person A's last comment: "Oh, I didn't know he was chill like that.

Week 3: Site Searching and Visual Effect Experimentation

    I found a nice location for filming: a tree across the street from North Dining. It's low enough to put my stuffed animal in. I didn't intend to film with such interesting lighting, but this makes me want to film at sunset.

    I edited my test footage by chopping it up and shuffling those smaller clips around. I added cross dissolve transitions to each clip, making my video constantly blur. I would like to use this effect in my final version to convey confusion.

This effect reminds me of the album covers and music videos of artist Sarah Kinsley. Her music video director, Lux, uses an effect like this to create an ethereal energy, matching that of Kinsley's music.
